the worst LCD you can buy Sep 02, 2010 It worked well untill you use a HDMI port, it will mees up all the menus including sound and video. LG call center said the issue was with my Blueray DVD Player, but this player works perfectly well with my other LCDS ( samsung and Sony)... LG did not support the product at the end and I had to throw it away. I wont buy LG ever!!!!
great TV Aug 05, 2010 It took me a while to get the TV. Everything about the TV looks great. sound quality is not that awesome but good enough.
up and running May 24, 2010 Easy to setup, turn on, connect, and everything else. I have had it on for 24/7 (due to room mates who work different shifts than I do, for sever months and not a bit of problem.
I would buy another if price was a bit lower.

Fantastic! May 10, 2010 I could not be happier with this 42" LG LH40. I have had the TV for about a month and have used it exclusively with a (non-Blue Ray) DVD player hooked up through an HDMI cable.
- HDMI inputs on the back and side of the TV are convenient
- Gorgeous color and deep blacks. It was easy to setup using the color wizard
- Menu structure is attractive and intuitive, plus it is quick and easy to switch between components
- The sound can fill a room and does not get distorted at high volume
- The range of viewing angles on the TV are incredible
great tv for the price Apr 22, 2010 This was our first hdtv, and for the price I'm very happy with what we got. The only thing I would be critical on was the freight company who delievered it. It was 2 and a half hours after our schedualed appointment time, and the driver for pilot freight wasn't a pleasant person by any means.
But like I said we are very happy with the quality of this tv, and the price we paid for it. I would reccomend it.

Consumer Reports Says: Buy HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (July 2010) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2009 and June 2010. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its July 2010 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com came closest.
