where's my stuff? Feb 15, 2010 I purchased this tv on the 5th and still has not shipped yet. They have it in stock so there is no reason for this. They sent me an e-mail a day after I purchased it giving me the option of upgrading to a xbr9 for the same price, it sounds fishy to me. I can't rate what I don't have.

Sony Bravia TV Oct 30, 2009 We bought this for a 60th anniversary gift and were so pleased with it--from the ease of setting it up to the quality of the picture! We plan to buy one for ourselves next!

Great TV, Great shopping experience Jun 13, 2009 This is an excellent tv. It is almost $1000 dollars cheaper than best buy. Sports are extremely smooth with the 240 motion flow. Blue ray movies are unbelievable. Looks like your looking through a glass window at a live event. I would highly recommend this tv, and buying it through amazon. They are 5 star!

Good results Jun 08, 2009 The government pushed me over the edge. I tried to get their digital conversion signals, but up in the mountains of Colorado no such luck. Analog signals work just fine, but the low power HD signal was my downfall. Signed up for Dish Network HD, then I needed some HD TVs. We bought two 52XBR7 TVs and hooked them up to two Dish Network 722K DVRs. They work just great for satellite reception in HD format. Both were delivered on the date Amazon suggested. I had to do some research for the adjustments to the TVs, but once dialed in they work great. I'm very happy with this purchase experience through Amazon.

Consumer Reports Says: Buy HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2008) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2007 and June 2008. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its December 2008 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com came closest.
